Due to various life factors, a child may begin to develop fear or anxiety about attending school or leaving home. When these issues begin to impact his/her attendance, this is referred to as School Refusal. This may appear as a child avoiding leaving the house to go to school, developing physical symptoms of illness when prompted to attend school, or avoiding going to class while at school due to anxiety. If you believe your child is beginning to exhibit symptoms of school refusal, please contact your child's school social worker or psychologist (click HERE to identify us) to discuss how we can help.
